Abraham is known as the father of monotheism and was the first known person to travel throughout the Middle East. He journeyed throughout the lands accepting hospitality from those whose homes he came to, and extending hospitality to anyone who passed near his tent.

We, the staff & owners of Abraham Hostel Jerusalem, wish to extend Abraham’s Bible hospitality to our time. We have created our dream hostel to support travelers and modern tourists in the Middle East, and are proud to have been awarded a number of great awards since opening in 2010 including being voted the eighth best large hostel in the world by HostelWorld customers.

The Abraham Hostel Jerusalem is located in Jerusalem’s City Center offering everything that independent travelers and small groups are looking for: a friendly atmosphere, modern facilities, great location and experienced and warm local staff.

The hostel offers 72 en-suite rooms, both dorm (mixed & female) and private room (single/double/triple/family). All rooms include air-conditioning and a mini-fridge. Our great facilities include a large guest kitchen, lounge, and bar, free wifi & internet access, a travelers’ information desk, an elevator, games room, rooftop (in the summer months) and much more. We hold events every night and larger concerts throughout the year.

Our tour company, Abraham Tours, offers tours across Israel, the West Bank, Jordan, and Egypt, designed with the independent traveler in mind – great value, great quality, and great experiences.

Alternatively, a faster route from either the Old City or Central Bus Station, is with the tram – we’re right next to the Davidka Square Station.

Entering Jerusalem from Road 1, continue past the Central Bus Station on the left, and bear right onto Sderot Ben Zvi. At the first junction, turn left onto Bezalel Street, continuing up the hill until you reach the junction with Mordechai Elaish. Turn left here, and at the roundabout, left again, onto Agripas Street. At the traffic lights, turn right, continue across the tram lines, and you’ll see the Abraham Hostel on your right hand side. Continue around the building, and a private carpark is accessed via the driveway to the left of the building.
