Samira's guest house building is one of the oldest in Nazareth area which part of it belonged to one of the wealthiest families; El-Kawar family for more than 150 years .The building itself was owned by the first mayor in Nazareth; Tannos Kawar (1819-1888) who worked as a mayor from 1875 till 1884.
The building is located in the old city of Nazareth, in the way that links between the Orthodox Annunciation church, the White Mosque in the old city and the Basilica of Annunciation. The building is located as well, in El-Kawar Sibat. Sibat refers to the curved architectural structure and El-Kawar refers actually to the family who owned the building.
The guest house gain its name- Samira from Samira Abu Nassar, who is the aunt of the house new owner.Samira who was born 1934, grew up at her grandmother's house called Sarwa Haddad who was one of Tannous Kawar granddaughters. Samira visited the house occasionally together with her grandmother. She owns beautiful and passionate memories from an old great time.

Directions |
By bus from the city center's roundabout:
Walk up past the Basilica and enter into the Old City market. Follow the path up to the White Mosque. Continue ahead through a large arched entrance until you arrive at a T-junction. Turn right and walk about 20 meters. The door to Samira Guest House is on your right.
By bus, from Mary's Well:
Take the side street opposite and follow it leftwards as it runs parallel to the main road. At the Tishreen restaurant there are three choices of route. Select the middle one; there are high stone walls on either side of you. Continue until you reach Al-Mutran Square. Follow the path ahead another 50 meters until you see an ach above the path. Samira's entrance is on the left.
By car:
Drive to the Mary's Well area. Follow the directions at Al-Mutran's Square, as mentioned above. Park your car there and continue walking into the Old City as directed above.
